Elbit Systems wins $350 million tank upgrade contract
Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) (TASE: ESLT) announced it received a contract valued at approximately $350 million from an international customer to deliver upgrades for Main Battle Tanks. The four-year program will include integration of advanced fire control systems, electric gun and turret drive systems, communication and situational awareness solutions, and mid-life upgrade packages.
The Israeli defense technology company will modernize tank systems to extend service life and enhance combat readiness. The upgrade program includes replacing key onboard systems with lightweight, high-performance electro-optical sights featuring artificial intelligence capabilities for day and night observation, target detection and tracking.
The contract covers spare parts supply and maintenance and technical support services. It also includes integration of a secure, high-capacity voice communication suite.
