Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) established a joint venture to develop an AI-powered corporate operations platform. The new company, Rix Business Partners, was formed through DIA-RIX, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation.

The joint venture will create a digital platform to support Mitsubishi Chemical's corporate functions, including general affairs, administrative services and facilities management across domestic offices and manufacturing sites. The platform aims to enhance visibility, standardization and cross-site management while enabling adaptation to workforce changes.

"This business support transformation is grounded in Mitsubishi Chemical's commitment to maximizing the value of human capital and our transformation philosophy centered on 'connecting' capabilities across the organization," said Isao Yano, Managing Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Mitsubishi Chemical.

Mitsuru Nagata, Senior Managing Director and Digital Core lead for Japan at Accenture, stated that the joint venture will "combine careful reassessment of operations with the practical use of AI and digital technologies to help Mitsubishi Chemical turn strategy into action."

Rix Business Partners Corporation is located in Tokyo's Marunouchi district and was established on May 1, 2026. Mitsubishi Chemical holds an 81% stake while Accenture owns 19%. The company employs 255 people and provides business support services including facility management and administrative services.
