Portillo's Inc. (NASDAQ: PTLO) opened its first airport restaurant at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on May 27, marking the Chicago-style restaurant chain's entry into airport dining.

The new location in Terminal B features a smaller format designed for travelers, with multiple ordering options including registers, self-service kiosks and order-ahead pickup. The restaurant includes a grab-and-go area and seating for more than 50 guests.

The airport location serves the company's menu of Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago-style hot dogs, burgers, fries and chocolate cake for lunch and dinner. Breakfast items including Polish sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches and maple sausage and egg croissants are available from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. daily.

To celebrate the opening, Portillo's offered free chocolate cake slices to the first 200 guests who visited the location on May 28. The company also promotes its loyalty program, Portillo's Perks, which provides a welcome reward of free French fries for new members.

Portillo's operates more than 100 restaurants across 11 states, having expanded from a Chicago hot dog trailer. The company describes itself as focusing on experience-driven destinations that combine dine-in, drive-thru, takeout and delivery services.

The information comes from a company press release statement.
