May 27, 2026 4:30 PM

Arq, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQ) announced the appointment of Shimon Steinmetz as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The company produces activated carbon and other carbon products for purification and sustainable materials.

Steinmetz brings over 20 years of corporate finance and operational leadership experience. He previously served as CFO at Finjan Holdings, where he guided the company's transition to public listing, and at Vesta, a private equity-backed financial technology company. His background includes investment banking roles at Salomon Smith Barney and Goldman Sachs, and he holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

The company granted Steinmetz inducement equity awards consisting of 250,000 restricted stock awards and 150,000 performance share units. The restricted stock awards will vest in two tranches: 75,000 shares on the second anniversary and 175,000 shares on the third anniversary of the grant date. The performance share units will vest in three equal portions of 50,000 units when the company's stock achieves 30-day volume weighted average prices of $8.00, $10.00, and $15.00, respectively, within three years.

Arq also announced that Chief Accounting Officer Stacia Hansen will resign effective June 12, 2026. The company stated Hansen's departure was not due to any disagreement with management or the Board of Directors regarding operations, policies, or financial reporting.

"I am thrilled to welcome Shimon to the Arq team as part of the broader organizational restructuring Arq has undertaken to strengthen operational efficiency and financial leadership," said CEO Bob Rasmus.

The information comes from a company press release statement.
