S&P Global Mobility offers free dealer fee management platform to industry

May 27, 2026 2:02 PM

S&P Global Mobility (NYSE: SPGI) announced it will provide free access to its FeeSync platform to the entire automotive industry. The platform allows dealers to manage and distribute fee structure data to vendor and agency partners through a centralized system.

FeeSync enables dealers to update fee structures in one location and control which partners can access the data through an API. The platform addresses fragmented fee data management across the automotive retail ecosystem, where vendors and agencies often maintain separate copies of dealer fee information.

"Dealers shouldn't have to chase updates across a dozen vendors every time their fee structure changes, and consumers shouldn't encounter different numbers depending on where they shop," said Aaron Baldwin, President of Sales Solutions at S&P Global Mobility.

The platform will initially launch with automotiveMastermind and CARFAX customers, with broader industry access to follow. Vendor and agency partners will be integrated in phases, with dealers maintaining control over data access permissions.

Steve Greenfield from Automotive Ventures noted the operational challenges of keeping fee data synchronized across multiple marketing and technology partners. The platform aims to enable dealers to update information once and distribute it across all channels.

S&P Global Mobility stated that while FeeSync provides operational infrastructure for fee data management, dealers remain responsible for ensuring their advertising and pricing practices comply with applicable regulations. The company will serve as the platform's operating steward.

The announcement comes amid increased industry focus on advertising practices and pricing transparency requirements. Additional details on access timelines and partner integration will be released in coming weeks, according to the company's press release.
