Ulta Beauty partners with DC Studios for Supergirl film campaign

Ulta Beauty (NASDAQ: ULTA) announced a partnership with DC Studios for the upcoming "Supergirl" film, scheduled for release June 26. The campaign features actress Milly Alcock, who stars as Supergirl in the Warner Bros. Pictures production.

The collaboration includes promotional content across social media, streaming platforms, television and cinema through mid-July. Ulta Beauty will offer three Supergirl-inspired beauty looks called Power Glam, Grunge Romance, and Iconic Shimmer through a digital guide on its website.

Starting June 7, all Ulta Beauty locations will display products organized around the three signature looks, featuring items from Ulta Beauty Collection, Joico, Sol de Janeiro, and OPI. Customers spending $30 on Joico products will receive a limited-edition cosmetic bag.

Five Ulta Beauty stores in New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago will feature window displays designed by comic book artist Bilquis Evely. Twelve additional stores will showcase digital experiences with graffiti-inspired themes.

The retailer plans local events on June 22 in four cities coinciding with the film's premiere, featuring makeup touch-up stations and brand activations. Limited-edition animated digital gift cards will be available on the company's website.

"Our partnership with Supergirl connects Ulta Beauty to one of this year's biggest cultural moments, while empowering our guests to express themselves boldly through beauty," said Kelly Mahoney, Chief Marketing Officer of Ulta Beauty.

The film stars Milly Alcock alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet and Jason Momoa. Craig Gillespie directs from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, with Peter Safran and James Gunn producing.
