Investing.com -- NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang announced the company's Constellation campus in Taipei on Wednesday, revealing plans to invest up to $150 billion annually in Taiwan.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Huang said the company's spending in Taiwan has grown from $10-15 billion per year four or five years ago to $100 billion currently, with plans to reach $150 billion annually. He did not specify the duration of the planned $150 billion investment period.

Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an attended the event, presenting Huang with a key to the city and a calligraphy scroll. The mayor told attendees that the world is watching NVIDIA shape the future of AI.

The new facility will be located in the Beitou-Shilin Technology Park in northern Taipei, spanning nearly 4 hectares. The building is designed to accommodate roughly 4,000 employees and will serve as one of the largest AI research and development hubs in the Asia-Pacific region. Its design reflects NVIDIA's headquarters in Santa Clara.

Construction is scheduled to begin this year, with operations expected to start in 2030, Huang said.

During the event, Huang discussed physical AI and its potential impact on manufacturing. He said Taiwan partners will benefit from NVIDIA technologies that will transform manufacturing. The CEO also announced that the campus NVIDIA Gear Store will be open to the public.

On Tuesday evening, TSMC CEO Dr. C.C. Wei joined Huang and the NVIDIA team for dinner in Taipei.
