Beamr Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: BMR) reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $630,000, essentially flat compared to the same period in 2025, according to a shareholder letter from CEO Sharon Carmel released May 27.

The video optimization technology company disclosed it has $9.6 million in cash and deposits as of March 31, 2026. Beamr is working to convert two to three accounts across autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and media and entertainment into potential strategic agreements in the coming months.

The company demonstrated its content-adaptive compression technology with partners VAST Data at NVIDIA GTC and dSPACE at their User Conference. The dSPACE demonstration validated compression for autonomous vehicle video data while preserving machine learning model accuracy and reducing data volume by 97% compared to uncompressed data.

Beamr currently has 10 active proofs of concept in the autonomous vehicle market after engaging with more than a dozen companies since launching its AV solution approximately one year ago. The company participated in five industry conferences and held more than 300 meetings with customers and prospects during the first quarter.

In the media and entertainment sector, JioHotstar renewed its contract with Beamr in February 2026. The streaming platform, which serves 450 million subscribers, uses Beamr's technology to reduce storage and bandwidth costs by 30%-50% across its 300,000-hour content catalog.

Beamr also launched VISTA, a managed platform for video quality testing, at the NAB Show in April 2026. The platform automates subjective quality testing that traditionally takes weeks, delivering results within days.

The company published research in May 2026 showing that machine vision models trained on compressed video demonstrated more robust performance than those trained on uncompressed data, with a 30.7% reduction in depth estimation error for vulnerable road users.
