Investing.com -- Amazon invested more than £15 billion ($20 billion) in Britain during 2025, the company said Wednesday, maintaining progress toward its commitment to invest £40 billion in the country by the end of 2027.

The 2025 investments included launching new operational sites, expanding studio production facilities and office space, and beginning a drone deliveries trial.

Amazon disclosed that its total revenues from UK activities exceeded £30 billion in 2025. The company paid over £1.3 billion in total taxes, an increase of more than 20% compared to 2024. These taxes included corporation tax, business rates, national insurance and digital services tax.

The e-commerce company employs approximately 75,000 people in Britain, ranking it among the country's top 10 private sector employers.

Britain represents Amazon's third-largest market worldwide, following the United States and Germany.
