Six Flags shareholders elect three directors to board
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: FUN) announced that shareholders elected Richard Haddrill, Chieh Huang, and Marilyn Spiegel to the company's board of directors for three-year terms expiring in 2029.
The shareholders also confirmed the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm and approved an advisory vote on executive compensation.
Haddrill serves as executive chairman and is founder and chief executive officer of The Groop, LLC, an investment and advisory company. He previously held executive positions at Scientific Games Corporation and served as chief executive officer of Bally Technologies.
Huang is co-founder and chief executive officer of Pelgo and previously served as president of the World Economic Forum's Global Collaboration Village. He was co-founder and chief executive officer of Boxed, Inc., and earlier served as chief executive officer of Astro Ape Studios before its acquisition by Zynga.
Spiegel brings more than 30 years of gaming and hospitality industry experience, having served as president of Wynn Las Vegas and several Harrah's Entertainment properties including Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
Six Flags operates 20 amusement parks, 14 water parks and nine resort properties across 13 states in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and manages an amusement park in Saudi Arabia.
