Lockheed Martin wins $115M in U.S. military contracts

Investing.com - Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) received two military contracts totaling approximately $114.8 million from the U.S. Department of War for F-35 aircraft components and rocket system engineering services.

The company’s Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. unit in Fort Worth, Texas, secured a $100.5 million firm-fixed-price order for 1,459 brake assembly heat sinks for F-35 Lightning II aircraft. The order includes 1,075 units for the F-35A conventional takeoff and landing variant and 384 units for the F-35B short takeoff and vertical landing variant to support depot-level brake repairs for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, F-35 program partners, and Foreign Military Sales customers.

Work on the brake assembly contract will be performed in South Bend, Indiana, with completion expected by March 2030. The order is funded by fiscal 2026 aircraft procurement funds from the Air Force totaling $43.8 million and the Navy totaling $28.6 million, along with $10.9 million in Foreign Military Sales customer funds and $17.2 million in F-35 program partner funds.

Separately, Lockheed Martin’s Grand Prairie, Texas, facility received a $14.3 million contract modification for engineering services on the Multiple Launch Rocket System and related support equipment. The modification brings the total cumulative value of contract W31P4Q-24-C-0007 to $230 million.

Work on the rocket system contract will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas, with an estimated completion date of May 27, 2027. The modification is funded by fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation Army funds.
