Lumen promotes Melissa Mann and Jessica Taylor to chief officer roles

Lumen Technologies (NYSE: LUMN) announced the promotion of Melissa Mann to Chief Public Policy Officer and Jessica Taylor to Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer.

Mann, who has worked at Lumen for nearly a decade, will lead the company's global advocacy efforts supporting government and regulated industry customers, as well as network, AI, and digital transformation initiatives in her new role. She previously shaped the company's public policy strategy and built relationships with legislators, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

"Melissa and Jessica are exceptional leaders who have helped shape Lumen's voice, strengthen our stakeholder engagement, and advance our public policy priorities," said CEO Kate Johnson in a statement.

Taylor will continue leading Lumen's communications organization, overseeing executive communications, media relations, corporate positioning, corporate events, and employee engagement. She has been responsible for the company's communications strategy across these areas since joining Lumen.

The appointments reflect what the company describes as the strategic importance of public policy and communications functions as Lumen advances its business transformation and deepens engagement with government and enterprise customers.

According to the press release, the promotions underscore Lumen's commitment to leadership across corporate functions, with Mann and Taylor expected to play central roles in stakeholder engagement and strategy advancement.
