Voyager Technologies (NYSE: VOYG) received a $16.5 million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for Phase 2 of the Burn n' Go program, according to a company statement.

The 20-month contract supports development of propellant-embedded control technology for solid rocket motors. The technology aims to provide thrust control capabilities that can be adjusted after manufacturing.

The award follows completion of Phase 1, during which Voyager developed system architecture and conducted design studies. Phase 1 concluded with a Conceptual Design Review that validated the technical approach.

During Phase 2, Voyager will develop proof-of-concept systems and conduct hot-fire demonstrations of the rocket motor technology. The program includes work on manufacturing scalability and control architectures with structural health monitoring systems.

"This award reflects confidence in our ability to translate advanced propulsion technologies into field-ready capabilities that support U.S. national readiness and deterrence," said Matt MagaƱa, president of Space, Defense & National Security at Voyager.

The technology is designed to support multiple weapon systems and enable large-scale production. Voyager's approach combines system modeling, controls, propellant formulation, manufacturing and testing capabilities.

The program focuses on preparing the technology for transition across multiple weapon systems and enabling flexible weapons procurement and production.
