Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL) announced it secured an $18 million one-year contract with an international defense customer for earth observation imagery services. The geospatial company will provide daily monitoring through its NewSat constellation.

The contract represents an expansion from an initial trial to full-scale deployment within six months. Under the agreement, Satellogic will deliver monitoring of multiple points of interest, providing the customer with geospatial intelligence for situational awareness across strategic regions.

Jeff Kerridge, SVP of Global Sales at Satellogic, stated that defense customers are seeking consistent, high-cadence access to monitoring capabilities with tasking-to-delivery in under three hours. The company described this as part of its strategic shift toward subscription-style intelligence delivery for defense and government customers.

Founded in 2010, Satellogic operates as a vertically integrated geospatial company that provides high-resolution earth observation data. The company uses its satellite constellation to deliver planetary-scale insights for applications including climate monitoring, energy supply analysis, and food security assessment.
