FreeCast partners with FPUnet to serve 30,000 homes in Fort Pierce

May 26, 2026 6:00 AM

FreeCast announced an agreement with FPUnet Communications to provide streaming platform services to more than 30,000 homes in the Fort Pierce, Florida region. FPUnet operates as the communications division of the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority.

The partnership will make FreeCast's Platform-as-a-Service streaming technology available to FPUnet subscribers through the local fiber broadband network. The service combines live television, FAST channels, on-demand streaming, and content discovery through a single interface.

FreeCast's platform enables broadband operators and infrastructure companies to deploy branded streaming services without developing internal streaming technology. The system integrates streaming aggregation, advertising technology, content management, and connected TV capabilities.

"This agreement reflects the continued implementation of FreeCast's platform strategy with broadband and infrastructure providers seeking to enhance consumer engagement beyond traditional connectivity services," said William Mobley, FreeCast CEO.

FPUnet has expanded fiber internet offerings throughout the Fort Pierce area with multi-gigabit speeds and local customer support. The utility provides electric, water, wastewater, natural gas, and communications services to the Fort Pierce region.

The FreeCast platform will support streaming access across connected TVs, mobile devices, tablets, and web applications. The agreement includes future opportunities for localized advertising, community engagement channels, and branded digital media services.

This partnership represents another expansion of FreeCast's Platform-as-a-Service initiative targeting telecom operators, internet service providers, municipalities, and broadband companies in the streaming television market.
