Pliant Therapeutics to present cancer drug data at ASCO meeting
Pliant Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: PLRX) will present data on its experimental cancer drug PLN-101095 at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, scheduled for May 29 to June 2 in Chicago.
The poster presentation will focus on a cohort expansion of a Phase 1 study evaluating PLN-101095, described as a dual αvβ8/αvβ1 integrin inhibitor, in combination with pembrolizumab for patients with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Timothy A. Yap from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center will present the findings on May 30.
PLN-101095 is currently being tested in FORTIFY, a Phase 1b indication expansion trial enrolling patients with non-small cell lung cancer, tumors with high tumor mutational burden, or clear cell renal cell carcinoma. The trial protocol involves treating patients with PLN-101095 at 1,000 mg twice daily as monotherapy for 14 days, followed by the addition of pembrolizumab as combination therapy.
The ongoing study aims to evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary evidence of antitumor activity in patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor-refractory advanced or metastatic solid tumors, according to information from the press release.
Pliant Therapeutics focuses on developing integrin-based therapeutics and is also conducting preclinical research on tissue-specific drug delivery using integrin receptor-binding molecules for programs targeting skeletal muscle cells, adipocytes, and renal cells.
