Saia opens terminals in Washington and Indiana to expand network

May 21, 2026 3:54 PM

Saia Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA) opened two new terminals as part of its network expansion, with facilities beginning operations in Marysville, Washington, and Edinburgh, Indiana, according to a company statement.

The Marysville terminal opened on May 4, while the Edinburgh facility began operations this week. The Washington location is positioned to support freight movement throughout the Pacific Northwest, while the Indiana facility strengthens service across the Midwest.

"These openings reflect our focus on getting closer to the customer and building density in the right places to better support shipper needs," said Patrick Sugar, executive vice president of operations at Saia. "By adding capacity in both the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, we're able to create more efficient routing opportunities and deliver a more consistent service experience."

The Marysville terminal enhances Saia's ability to move freight across Washington and into neighboring markets. The Edinburgh location strengthens coverage in a logistics corridor south of Indianapolis.

Saia provides less-than-truckload transportation services and operates 216 terminals across the United States. The Johns Creek, Georgia-based company also offers brokered truckload, expedited transportation and other logistics services.

The new facilities are designed to improve network flexibility and reduce transit variability for customers shipping in and out of these regions, according to the company statement.
