LivaNova names Stefano Folli to head cardiopulmonary unit

LivaNova PLC (NASDAQ: LIVN) announced that Stefano Folli will join the company as President of its Cardiopulmonary business unit, effective June 1. Folli will succeed Franco Poletti, who plans to retire on July 31.

The transition will occur over several months, with Folli working alongside Poletti before assuming full responsibility for the business on August 1. Folli will join LivaNova's Executive Leadership Team and report to Chief Executive Officer Vladimir Makatsaria.

In his new role, Folli will oversee the strategic growth of the nearly $800 million business, which includes cardiopulmonary disposables and equipment, including the Essenz Perfusion System.

Folli most recently served as Executive Vice President and Global President of Ambulatory Monitoring & Diagnostics at Philips, where he led business operations and integrated acquisitions. During his 16-year tenure at Philips, he held various leadership positions including Executive Vice President & Head of Global Services and Solutions Delivery and President and CEO of IIG covering Italy, Israel, and Greece.

Earlier in his career, Folli served as Chief Executive Officer of Saeco Vending in Bologna, Italy, and held a board director position for Saeco Group. He began his career as a software development engineer in 1992 and holds a master's degree in electronic engineering from the University of Padua.
