Stellantis expands Qualcomm partnership for vehicle tech platforms

May 21, 2026 9:08 AM

Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) announced an expanded multi-year collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to integrate Snapdragon Digital Chassis system-on-chips across its next-generation vehicles. The partnership will incorporate cockpit, connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems into Stellantis' STLA Brain electronic platform.

The agreement includes Qualcomm's Snapdragon Ride Pilot ADAS platform, designed to support Level 2+ automated driving capabilities across Stellantis vehicles. The technology aims to provide a scalable foundation across Stellantis' brand portfolio while reducing costs through platform standardization.

As part of the collaboration, Stellantis and Qualcomm Technologies entered a non-binding letter of intent for Stellantis-owned automated driving company aiMotive to join Qualcomm Technologies, subject to various conditions including due diligence and regulatory approvals.

"Our customers deserve seamless, next-generation experiences that continuously evolve to meet their driving needs," said Ned Curic, Chief Engineering and Technology Officer at Stellantis. "By deploying this intelligent platform across our global portfolio, Stellantis is delivering on that promise with unprecedented speed and efficiency."

Nakul Duggal, Executive Vice President and Group General Manager for Automotive, Industrial and Embedded IoT at Qualcomm Technologies, said the expansion reflects the scale of the companies' existing relationship spanning connectivity and digital cockpit technologies.

The collaboration builds on existing work between the companies in cockpit and connectivity solutions. The expanded agreement establishes a framework for technology development, licensing and deployment, with final terms subject to subsequent agreements between the parties.
