Pagaya hires former Citi managing director as chief commercial officer

Pagaya Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: PGY) appointed Terry O'Neil as Chief Commercial Officer, the company announced. O'Neil will lead the financial technology company's partnership and growth functions.



O'Neil previously served as Managing Director leading Embedded Payments and Strategic Partnerships at Citi, where he managed profit and loss responsibilities and advanced the firm's payments capabilities. During his tenure at Citi, he held several leadership positions including Chief Marketing Officer for Citi Retail Services and Managing Director of Citi Branded Cards.



In his new role, O'Neil will scale Pagaya's enterprise commercial function and focus on deepening product adoption across partnerships. The company stated he will help ensure the platform remains a technology partner for major U.S. consumer lenders.



"With his proven track record in both the banking and payments sectors across personal loans, auto loans and point of sale, Terry is uniquely equipped to drive our next phase of growth," said Sanjiv Das, President of Pagaya.



O'Neil brings over 20 years of experience in consumer financial services, specializing in payments, partnerships and consumer strategy. He launched digital products and managed co-brand partnerships during his previous roles.



Pagaya describes itself as a technology company that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide consumer credit and other financial products for partners, customers and investors. The company's API and capital solutions integrate into partner networks.
