NewGenIVF invests $2 million in AI prediction platform K25.ai
NewGenIVF Group Limited (NASDAQ: NIVF) announced a strategic investment agreement with K25.ai, an AI-powered live-streaming prediction platform led by former OKX Chief Operating Officer Andy Cheung.
The investment values K25.ai at $100 million pre-money, with NewGenIVF making an initial $2 million investment. NewGenIVF has an option to increase its investment up to $10 million if exercised in full, according to the company's statement.
K25.ai combines artificial intelligence, live-streaming content and prediction markets for users in permitted Asia-Pacific markets. The platform allows users to watch live content and participate in prediction events related to sports, entertainment and cultural events.
NewGenIVF will serve as exclusive agent for K25.ai in Thailand, Singapore, Japan and other permitted APAC markets, excluding mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. The company expects to earn commission based on gross profit from customers it introduces or services.
As part of the agreement, K25.ai will nominate three independent director candidates for NewGenIVF's board, potentially expanding the board from five to eight directors, subject to regulatory requirements.
Andy Cheung previously served as Chief Operating Officer of OKX and Chief Executive Officer of Groupon Hong Kong. He also held executive positions at iClick Interactive Asia Group Limited.
The closing of the investment remains subject to definitive agreements, closing conditions, Nasdaq rules and applicable regulatory requirements. K25.ai will only operate in jurisdictions where legally permitted and subject to required licensing or regulatory approvals.
NewGenIVF operates across real estate development, digital assets and reproductive health solutions through its NewGenProperty, NewGenDigital and NewGenSup divisions.
