Vizsla Silver Corp. (TSX: VZLA) (NYSE: VZLA) appointed Guillermo Hernandez as vice president of exploration and promoted Jesus Velador from VP exploration to chief geologist, effective immediately, the company announced.

Hernandez brings 20 years of international mineral exploration experience across Latin America and Asia. He previously served as vice president of exploration at Outcrop Silver & Gold, where he led exploration at the Santa Ana project in Colombia and delivered the company's maiden NI 43-101 Mineral Resource.

Before joining Outcrop, Hernandez worked as senior general geology supervisor at Lundin Gold's Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador, contributing to resource conversion programs that added 1.2 million ounces of gold in new resources. He also held the role of reserves and exploration manager at Luca Mining Corp. in Mexico, where he participated in restarting the Campo Morado Mine and developing the Tahuehueto Mine.

Hernandez holds a bachelor's degree in geological engineering and a master's degree in geochemistry from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He is certified as a Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists and qualifies as a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.

Velador has worked with Vizsla Silver for four years, guiding the company through discoveries at Napoleon and Copala through completion of a feasibility study. Michael Konnert, president and CEO, stated that Velador "has guided Vizsla Silver through its transition from discovery-stage exploration toward development readiness."

Vizsla Silver is advancing its Panuco silver-gold project in Sinaloa, Mexico. A November 2025 feasibility study outlined 17.4 million ounces silver equivalent annual production over an initial 9.4-year mine life, with an after-tax net present value of $1.8 billion and a 111% internal rate of return.
