Tenable partners with Anthropic to integrate AI into cybersecurity platform

May 20, 2026 8:31 AM

Tenable Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: TENB) announced a partnership with Anthropic to integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into its exposure management platform. The collaboration will incorporate Anthropic's Claude AI model into Tenable's Hexa AI workflows.

The partnership aims to enhance cybersecurity operations through AI-powered prioritization, remediation orchestration, and exposure analysis. Tenable Hexa AI serves as the automated engine within the company's exposure management platform, designed to process security intelligence and coordinate responses.

"The volume of exposures is increasing, the time between discovery and exploit is shrinking, and security teams need a fundamentally different approach," said Mark Thurmond, co-CEO of Tenable. "With Claude-fueled innovations we are accelerating R&D and our exposure management roadmap, while rapidly advancing solutions like Tenable Hexa AI so customers can strengthen their preemptive security programs."

Jason Clinton, Deputy CISO at Anthropic, stated that the company is working with Tenable to apply Claude's capabilities to help customers understand risk, prioritize actions, and respond more quickly to security threats.

The announcement was made at the EXPOSURE 2026 conference in Boston, where Anthropic is participating in discussions about AI's impact on cybersecurity. Tenable also announced the general availability of Tenable Hexa AI separately at the same event.

The integration represents Tenable's strategy to address what the company describes as the increasing speed and scale of cyber risks that have outpaced traditional security approaches. The platform combines native telemetry, third-party data, and research insights to help organizations manage cybersecurity exposures.
