CAVA opens new restaurant in Columbus, Ohio
CAVA Group Inc. (NYSE: CAVA) opened a new restaurant at 1370 Polaris Pkwy in Columbus, Ohio. The 3,660-square-foot location features dining room seating, a patio, digital order pickup, and delivery options.
The Mediterranean fast-casual chain held a Community Day celebration offering complimentary meals while accepting donations for IMPACT Community Action, a local nonprofit focused on poverty reduction. CAVA matched donations up to $1,000 and provided meals to community members during the restaurant's training period.
The Columbus opening follows CAVA's recent expansion into Ohio, which began with a Cincinnati location in March and a Hilliard restaurant. The company plans additional Columbus locations in coming months as part of its Midwest expansion.
"Columbus is a city with a welcoming spirit and an energy that brings people together," said Jeff Gaul, Chief Development Officer of CAVA. "We're excited to introduce our fresh, bold Mediterranean flavors to Columbus and create a welcoming space where guests can gather, recharge, and make CAVA part of their everyday routine."
The new restaurant offers CAVA's customizable Mediterranean menu, including its recent addition of Glazed Salmon. The location will employ 25-40 people and operates daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
CAVA operates restaurants in 29 states and the District of Columbia, with plans to reach at least 1,000 locations by 2032. The company expects to open its 500th restaurant later this year. Since 2019, CAVA's Community Day program has raised more than $1 million in monetary and food donations for organizations addressing food insecurity.
