Smurfit Westrock plans to delist from London Stock Exchange

May 20, 2026 6:30 AM

Smurfit Westrock announced its intention to delist from the London Stock Exchange, with the company planning to maintain its listing solely on the New York Stock Exchange.

The company said it completed a review of its LSE listing that began on April 30, 2026, examining factors including trading activity levels and the costs and regulatory obligations associated with maintaining the London listing. Following the review, Smurfit Westrock's board determined that delisting from the LSE serves the company's interests.

The delisting process requires Smurfit Westrock to request cancellation of its ordinary shares listing from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and cancellation of trading admission from the LSE. Under FCA regulations, the company must provide at least 20 business days' notice of the delisting.

The LSE delisting is expected to take effect at 8:00 a.m. UK time on June 22, 2026, with the final trading day on the London exchange scheduled for June 19, 2026.

The company has prepared frequently asked questions for shareholders and established a helpline to assist with the transition, according to the announcement.
