Deep Fission begins roadshow for planned $150 million public offering
Deep Fission Inc., a nuclear energy company developing underground small modular reactors, has commenced its roadshow for a proposed public offering of 6 million shares of common stock.
The company expects to price shares between $24.00 and $26.00 each, according to a statement. Deep Fission has granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 900,000 shares at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions.
The company has applied to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol "FISN."
Deep Fission plans to use net proceeds for general working capital and corporate purposes, including engineering, research and development, licensing and construction of its first pilot nuclear reactor and related technologies.
William Blair, Stifel, and Canaccord Genuity are serving as joint lead book-running managers for the offering. Seaport Global Securities and Benchmark, a StoneX Company, are acting as bookrunners.
The company has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, though it has not yet become effective. Deep Fission develops small modular pressurized water reactors designed for installation one mile underground.
