Johns Manville names John Vasuta as CEO effective August 2026
Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company (NYSE: BRK-A, BRK-B), announced that John Vasuta will become president and chief executive officer effective August 1, 2026, succeeding Bob Wamboldt who will retire.
Vasuta joined Johns Manville in 2019 as president of the company's Engineered Products business. He also serves on the board of directors for EJ, a manufacturer of infrastructure access products.
Prior to joining Johns Manville, Vasuta held leadership positions at Bridgestone Corp., including president of Firestone Building Products International and senior vice president of Global Sales, Marketing & Operations. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering, an MBA and a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron.
Wamboldt joined Johns Manville in 2003 and led each of the company's three businesses before being named president and CEO in 2020. Mary Rhinehart, chair of Johns Manville, acknowledged his tenure and expressed confidence in Vasuta's leadership.
Johns Manville manufactures building insulation, mechanical insulation, commercial roofing and specialty products. The Denver-based company, in business since 1858, reports annual sales of over $4 billion and employs nearly 8,000 people across 43 North American and European locations.
