Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) announced price increases for engineered materials products effective June 1, 2026, citing market developments and global supply chain disruptions.

The Dallas-based chemical and specialty materials company will implement regional price adjustments across various product lines. In the EMEA region, increases range from €0.15 to €0.60 per kilogram depending on the material type. The Americas will see increases from $0.10 to $0.27 per pound, while Asia will experience increases from $0.20 to $0.60 per kilogram.

The price adjustments affect multiple product categories including ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene under the GUR brand, various nylon products including Zytel and Frianyl brands, and thermoplastic elastomers such as Santoprene. High-temperature nylon flame retardant grades will see the largest increases across all regions.

Some product lines will only see increases in specific regions. PA 6 products including Zytel, Frianyl, Celanyl, Minlon, CoolPoly and Ecomid will only increase in EMEA markets. Similarly, PBT/PET products under the Crastin and Celanex brands will only see price adjustments in Europe.

The company stated that individual grades may be subject to higher increases than the specified amounts and that the increases will take effect June 1 or as contracts allow. Celanese noted it remains positioned to support customers through its regional supply chain and manufacturing sites.
