Netflix (NFLX) Netflix names Moose Toys partner for two shows, teams with Ferrero
Investing.com -- Netflix announced Tuesday at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas that Moose Toys will serve as the master toy partner for the animated film Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory and the preschool series Young MacDonald.
The streaming company also revealed a partnership with the Ferrero Group to create Wonka-branded products across multiple categories, including chocolate, sugar confectionery, ice cream and cereals. The Wonka range will include 10 seasonal and limited-edition items launching this fall in the United States and select European markets including the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany.
The Moose Toys partnership extends the companies' existing relationship, which previously included toys for the live-action ONE PIECE series. Ronnie Frankowski, CEO of Moose Toys, said the company plans to create products for the two Netflix properties.
Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory, scheduled for release in 2027, features Taika Waititi as Willy Wonka and Kit Connor as teenager Charlie Paley. The film follows Wonka's return to his factory after serving time in prison for turning a child into a blueberry during the Golden Ticket contest.
Young MacDonald follows six-year-old Mac, the grandson of Old MacDonald, as he runs a farm with his friend Dumpling the pig.
Marian Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at Netflix, said the company is expanding its consumer products business into the kids and family segment. From 2023 to 2025, kids and family content ranked as Netflix's second-largest genre, with six titles in the top 10, including Gabby's Dollhouse, Ms. Rachel, In Your Dreams and Sesame Street.
Netflix's toy business has expanded over the past year. In early 2025, Jazwares became the master toy partner for Stranger Things, and in fall 2025, both Mattel and Hasbro were named co-master toy partners for KPop Demon Hunters.
