May 19, 2026 1:00 PM

Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) announced new storage, compute, and cybersecurity products designed for artificial intelligence workloads at Dell Technologies World. The company introduced Dell PowerStore Elite storage platform, eleven new PowerEdge servers, and expanded automation capabilities.

Dell PowerStore Elite delivers up to three times better performance than previous generations and provides up to 5.8 petabytes of effective capacity in a single 3U appliance. The platform includes a 6:1 data reduction guarantee and supports non-disruptive upgrades of all components including drives, controllers and networking.

The 18th generation PowerEdge server portfolio includes both air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems. The liquid-cooled PowerEdge M9825 uses AMD EPYC 6th generation processors in factory-integrated IR7000 racks. Air-cooled options include the PowerEdge R9825 and R9815 servers with AMD processors, and the PowerEdge R9810 featuring Intel's Diamond Rapids processor.

Dell PowerProtect One combines protection management and secure storage under a single control plane. The platform integrates Dell PowerProtect Data Manager and Dell PowerProtect Data Domain to reduce management overhead by 50% according to Dell's internal analysis.

Dell Cyber Detect extends AI-powered ransomware detection to Dell PowerStore and PowerMax storage systems. The technology inspects data at the byte level with 99.99% accuracy based on testing by Index Engines.

The Dell Automation Platform introduces AI agents with conversational interfaces for infrastructure management. Dell Private Cloud expands to support VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1, Microsoft Azure Local, and Nutanix software on Dell infrastructure.

Product availability varies, with Dell PowerProtect One and Dell Distributed Private Cloud available now. Dell PowerStore Elite will be available in July 2026, while various PowerEdge servers will launch throughout 2026 and 2027.
