Aon names new regional leaders in EMEA and Latin America
Aon plc (NYSE: AON) announced regional leadership changes effective June and July, according to a press release statement. Kai-Frank Buechter and Tracy-Lee Kus will serve as co-CEOs of EMEA starting June 1, with Buechter overseeing Continental Europe and North Africa while Kus manages the UK, Ireland, South Africa and the Middle East.
Pedro Penalva will become CEO of Latin America effective July 1. All three executives will report to Greg Case, Aon's president and CEO, and join the Aon Executive Committee.
Buechter brings over 26 years of experience with Aon, most recently serving as CEO of the DACH region covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Kus has more than three decades in underwriting and broking, recently serving as CEO of Aon's Global Broking Center. Penalva joined Aon over 15 years ago and most recently headed Enterprise Clients for EMEA.
The appointments support additional organizational changes. Alfonso Gallego de Chaves will serve as Deputy CEO of EMEA starting June 1, reporting to Buechter. Andrea Parisi will chair Continental Europe beginning January 1, 2027.
Current EMEA CEO Julie Page and Latin America CEO Alejandro Galizia will transition to chair roles in their respective regions through 2026, then serve as senior advisors to Aon through 2027. Anne Corona and Jennifer Richards will continue leading North America and APAC regions, respectively.
