Rubrik partners with MEDITECH to offer cyber resilience for healthcare
Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) announced a collaboration with MEDITECH to provide cyber resilience solutions for healthcare organizations using MEDITECH's electronic health record platform. The partnership aims to protect healthcare data from ransomware and cyber attacks through Rubrik Security Cloud integration.
The collaboration addresses cybersecurity concerns in healthcare, as the FBI reports the healthcare industry represents a primary target for ransomware attacks. The integration provides immutable data protection and rapid recovery capabilities for both cloud-based and on-premises MEDITECH Expanse deployments.
"We are excited to certify Rubrik Security Cloud and give our customers more choice and flexibility when securing their critical data," said Sean Benton, Director of Computer Scientists at MEDITECH. The partnership responds to customer demand for Rubrik's data security capabilities.
The solution includes several key features managed through Rubrik Security Cloud's control plane. Immutable protection prevents data encryption, deletion, or alteration even when attackers gain elevated system access. Native threat detection continuously monitors risks and identifies clean data copies. The system contains threats by quarantining malware and restricting user access during recovery processes.
Rubrik Security Cloud also provides data archival capabilities using cloud storage for long-term retention. Josh Howell, Healthcare Chief Technology Officer at Rubrik, stated the solution enables healthcare organizations to recover critical applications within days rather than weeks following cyber incidents.
The integration is immediately available for select MEDITECH self-hosted cloud customers. Rubrik offers early access for native integration with on-premises MEDITECH customer deployments. The announcement was made through a press release from the companies.
