Incyte partners with Edison Scientific to deploy AI platform for drug research
Incyte (NASDAQ: INCY) announced a strategic collaboration with Edison Scientific to integrate the Kosmos AI platform into its drug discovery and development processes, according to a press release from the companies.
The Kosmos platform will be embedded across Incyte's discovery and development lifecycle to enable continuous learning from translational and clinical data, real-time synthesis of evidence and predictive models of therapeutic performance.
The initial deployment will focus on target discovery and validation and translational biology, with Edison's AI capabilities integrated within Incyte's research workflows to support exploration of experimental, clinical and biomarker data. The collaboration may expand across Incyte's broader research and development organization.
"Our vision is for our data to become a learning system that enhances every decision," said Pablo J. Cagnoni, President and Global Head of Research and Development at Incyte. "This partnership aims to maximize our data's value by integrating AI to guide experimental design and improve the quality and consistency of scientific and development decisions."
The companies plan to measure the system's impact on decision quality and long-term pipeline productivity as it evolves. The collaboration represents a model where a company's data serves as a training resource for AI systems that improve over time.
Edison Scientific was spun out of the nonprofit research lab FutureHouse in 2025 and has received $70 million in backing from Spark Capital, Triatomic Capital and other investors, according to the press release.
