Avantor names Gerard Porreca as quality and regulatory chief
Avantor Inc. (NYSE: AVTR) appointed Gerard Porreca as Executive Vice President, Quality and Regulatory, the company announced. Porreca will lead quality assurance, quality systems and regulatory affairs globally across all Avantor businesses.
Porreca joins from Getinge, where he led the Quality and Regulatory organization through global product approvals and regulatory engagement across the U.S., EU MDR, and China. He previously held senior executive roles at Becton Dickinson and Company, C.R. Bard Inc., and Smith+Nephew plc.
"Jerry's deep expertise in global quality systems and complex regulatory landscapes will be vital as we continue to enhance and scale our operations and deliver mission critical solutions for our customers," said Emmanuel Ligner, Avantor's President and CEO.
Porreca stated that quality and regulatory excellence represent a key value proposition for customers in the life sciences and advanced technology sectors. He said he looks forward to working with global teams to strengthen quality systems and leverage data-driven insights.
