Klarna adds payment options to EZContacts for vision care purchases
Klarna (NYSE: KLAR) announced a partnership with EZContacts to offer flexible payment options for vision care purchases in the United States.
The collaboration allows EZContacts customers to choose from multiple payment methods at checkout, including paying in full, paying within 30 days interest-free, splitting purchases into four interest-free installments, or selecting longer-term financing options.
EZContacts sells sunglasses, contact lenses, and prescription eyewear online. The company was founded in 2005 and reports serving over 5 million customers with more than 50,000 products from 300 brands.
"Our partnership with EZContacts demonstrates Klarna's commitment to expanding into specialized retail verticals where consumers expect flexibility without compromise," said David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna. "Vision care is a planned purchase, and customers value the ability to manage costs through structured payments rather than traditional credit."
Rafael Sarim Oezdemir, Head of Growth at EZContacts, stated the partnership provides "honest, transparent payment options at checkout, with no hidden fees."
Klarna operates as a digital bank and payment provider with 118 million global active users processing 3.4 million transactions daily. The company works with retailers including Uber, H&M, Saks, Sephora, Macy's, and Nike.
The payment options became available to EZContacts customers immediately, according to the company announcement.
