Eco Wave Power US joins NVIDIA inception program for AI energy tech
Eco Wave Power Global AB (NASDAQ: WAVE) announced that its subsidiary Eco Wave Power U.S. Inc. has joined NVIDIA's Inception program, which supports companies developing artificial intelligence and high-performance computing technologies.
The program provides Eco Wave Power U.S. access to NVIDIA developer tools, technical resources, training, and ecosystem support. The wave energy company plans to integrate AI technologies into various operational aspects including real-time wave energy optimization, predictive maintenance, digital twin modeling of power stations, and intelligent energy management systems.
Eco Wave Power U.S. will serve as the company's central hub for AI-related initiatives across its global project portfolio. The subsidiary is pursuing research and development collaborations with Florida-based universities and other technology stakeholders focusing on AI integration into wave energy infrastructure.
"Infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence requires massive amounts of electricity, and we believe renewable energy generation must evolve alongside it," said Inna Braverman, founder and CEO of Eco Wave Power. "By joining the NVIDIA Inception program through our U.S. subsidiary, we aim to accelerate the development of intelligent energy management capabilities."
The company's participation follows recent visibility in NVIDIA initiatives, including an appearance during a keynote presentation by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Eco Wave Power operates Israel's first grid-connected wave energy power station and recently launched a pilot station at the Port of Los Angeles in collaboration with Shell Marine Renewable Energy.
The company has a project pipeline of 404.7 MW with planned expansions in Portugal, Taiwan, and India. Eco Wave Power converts ocean waves into electricity using patented technology installed on existing coastal infrastructure such as breakwaters and piers.
