KULR Technology wins battery contract for Argo Space mission

May 18, 2026 8:32 AM

KULR Technology Group Inc. (NYSE American: KULR) announced that Argo Space Corp. has selected the company as the battery provider for an upcoming space mission. Under the agreement, KULR will supply its KULR ONE Space battery systems to power spacecraft subsystems throughout the mission's operational lifetime.

The KULR ONE Space battery systems are engineered to NASA safety standards and built on the company's lightweight "REACH" battery architecture. The systems incorporate cells with Initial Lot Assessment, Lot Acceptance Testing, and NASA WI-37A Cell Screening protocols.

"Building a new class of spacecraft to provide transport and maneuver meant designing it from the ground up. KULR had the best solution on the market for a battery that met our unique needs for performance, reliability, and cost," said Kirby Carlisle, Argo's Chief Operating Officer.

The selection builds on KULR's space industry experience, which includes supplying battery systems for NASA's Artemis program, a flight demonstration with Exolaunch aboard a SpaceX launch vehicle, and ongoing relationships with commercial space operators. KULR's Webster, Texas facility will support production and qualification testing for the Argo battery systems.

Argo Space Corp., founded in 2022 by SpaceX veterans and based in El Segundo, California, develops orbital transportation and mobility vehicles. The company uses a water-based spacecraft architecture to provide orbital logistics services for commercial and government missions.
