YY Group expands Malaysian operations into Melaka hospitality market
YY Group Holding Limited (NASDAQ: YYGH) announced its Malaysian subsidiary has entered the Melaka market through a workforce partnership with an international five-star hotel, according to a company press release. Services began on May 8, 2026.
The Singapore-based AI workforce management platform provider will deploy approximately 30 to 40 employees daily across the hotel's operations, including banquet, restaurant, housekeeping, stewarding and kitchen departments. The partnership extends YY Circle Malaysia's presence beyond Kuala Lumpur.
Melaka is a UNESCO World Heritage city with over 19 million tourist arrivals targeted for 2026. The expansion comes as Malaysia promotes tourism through the Visit Melaka campaign and the national Visit Malaysia 2026 initiative.
"Across Southeast Asia, demand for trained hospitality staff is outpacing supply, and Melaka is a clear example of a market where innovative solutions are needed to keep pace with rising demand," said Mike Fu, Chief Executive Officer of YY Group.
Ken Teng, Director of Southeast Asia for YY Group, said the engagement reflects confidence from a regional hospitality brand and that the company expects its Melaka presence to support additional partnerships across Malaysia's tourism corridor.
YY Group operates an AI workforce management platform called YY Circle and provides integrated facility management services across Asia. The company's platform matches trained personnel to daily occupancy and event demand for hotel operators while providing workers with earnings opportunities and training access.
The company is listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market and operates across hospitality, food and beverage, retail and other service sectors in the region.
