Byondis B.V., a biopharmaceutical company focused on cancer treatments, announced the formation of a Scientific Advisory Board comprising four experts in oncology research and antibody-drug conjugate development.

The Netherlands-based company appointed Dr. Anthony Tolcher, Dr. John Lambert, Dr. Kapil Dhingra, and Prof. Paul W.H.I. Parren to provide strategic counsel on its ADC pipeline development.

Dr. Tolcher serves as CEO of NEXT Oncology and has led first-in-human studies for several FDA-approved cancer therapies including trastuzumab emtansine and pembrolizumab. Dr. Lambert contributed to the development of technologies behind Kadcyla and Elahere during his tenure at ImmunoGen, where he served as Chief Scientific Officer from 2008 to 2015.

Dr. Dhingra brings experience from his role as Vice President and Head of Oncology Clinical Development at Hoffmann-La Roche and has advised multiple oncology companies through his consulting firm KAPital Consulting since 2008. Prof. Parren has contributed to nine FDA- and EMA-approved therapeutic antibodies and holds over 360 issued patents in antibody technologies.

"Their counsel and support will be invaluable as we execute our strategy to deliver breakthrough ADC solutions," said Christoph Korpus, Chief Executive Officer at Byondis, according to the company's statement.

Byondis operates research and manufacturing facilities in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, with more than 200 staff members focused on developing antibody-drug conjugates for cancer treatment.
