BD names Peter Menziuso as president of interventional division
BD (NYSE: BDX) announced that Peter Menziuso will serve as executive vice president and president of BD Interventional, effective June 1. The medical technology company based in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, made the announcement in a press release.
Menziuso brings over 30 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role. He previously served as Company Group Chairman of Johnson & Johnson Vision, where he led a $5 billion global business overseeing commercial operations, research and development, supply chain, quality, finance and medical affairs.
"BD Interventional has a strong track record of performance, and Peter is the right leader to build on that momentum and continue delivering results," said Tom Polen, chairman, CEO and president of BD. "Peter brings a strong combination of strategic leadership and operational discipline."
The appointment represents a leadership change for BD's interventional business unit, which is part of the company's broader medical technology portfolio. BD operates globally with more than 60,000 employees and focuses on medical essentials, connected care, biopharma systems and interventional solutions.
The company stated that Menziuso's experience includes strengthening market leadership positions and building teams while translating strategy into performance through commercial execution and operational management.
