EagleNXT secures three U.S. Army contracts, opens Texas facility
EagleNXT (NYSE: UAVS) announced three U.S. Army contract awards at the beginning of the second quarter, providing immediate revenue contribution to the drone and sensor solutions provider.
The company secured sales of nine eBee VISION ISR kits to the U.S. Army National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California on April 16. On April 6, EagleNXT sold 15 eBee VISION systems to a U.S. Army unit stationed in Europe. The U.S. Army also selected the eBee VISION for acquisition to support unmanned systems training on March 19.
EagleNXT's production facility in Allen, Texas is now operational and manufacturing eBee VISION units. The facility consolidates MicaSense camera manufacturing and will produce counter-drone systems through the ThirdEye USA joint venture. Domestic production capability addresses federal procurement requirements that were previously inaccessible to the company.
The company launched ThirdEye USA, LLC in April through a $10 million strategic investment in Israel's ThirdEye Systems Ltd. EagleNXT holds a 51% controlling interest in the joint venture, which targets full operations by May 2026 and formally enters the company into the counter-drone market.
EagleNXT also announced a strategic investment in Aerodrome Group Ltd., an Israeli developer of autonomous loitering munitions, with an option to form a joint venture serving U.S. and Canadian markets.
The eBee TAC and eBee VISION are blue listed and progressing toward U.S. Army Blue UAS Marketplace listing. The company expects this certification to streamline federal purchasing and lower procurement cycle times.
CEO Bill Irby stated the company is pursuing development of jam-resistant capability for the eBee VISION and has two new camera models in development. The growing season is driving accelerated MicaSense camera order volume.
EagleNXT expects revenue to normalize toward historical trends by the end of the third quarter, driven by resumed U.S. government procurement activity and growing defense revenue from eBee VISION across military customers.
