May 15, 2026 10:30 AM

Blackbaud Inc. (NASDAQ: BLKB) announced a series of artificial intelligence-powered product innovations on May 15, according to a company press release. The Charleston, South Carolina-based software provider for social impact organizations introduced several new AI features across its platform portfolio.

The company launched the Development Agent, described as an autonomous AI agent embedded in its Raiser's Edge NXT system for U.S. customers. This tool is designed to expand fundraising team capacity by engaging with donors via email and text messages. The company also introduced Chat for Blackbaud AI, which provides conversational intelligence across its core solutions.

Additional features include AI applications for financial management and fundraising workflows, and Blackbaud Billing Management Collections Assistant for educational institutions. The company also announced Expedited Giving, which can disburse corporate employee giving to nonprofits in hours rather than the typical longer timeframes.

"Leadership in AI will not be defined by how much intelligence a system can generate, but by how confidently users are willing to act on it," said Mike Gianoni, president, CEO and vice chairman of Blackbaud's board of directors.

Blackbaud serves nonprofits, educational institutions, and companies with corporate social responsibility programs. The company operates in the United States, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, India and the United Kingdom, supporting users in more than 100 countries.

The information is based on a press release statement from Blackbaud.
