UL Solutions warns of unauthorized marks on seven electric scooter models
UL Solutions Inc (NYSE: ULS) issued a public notice regarding seven electric scooter models that bear unauthorized UL certification marks and may pose safety risks to consumers.
The affected models are AS-STR280, GT08, M1, M2 Plus, M3 Max, M6 Pro and Z2. These products have not been evaluated by UL Solutions to appropriate safety standards, and the company stated it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements.
The AS-STR280 model may display the name "Alpha Z3," while the GT08 model may show "Alpha E-Bike." These scooters were sold at electronics stores in New Jersey and online. The models M1, M2 Plus, M3 Max and M6 Pro may display "Space Ride," and the Z2 model may bear the name "Lvhu." These were sold at an electronics store in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
The unauthorized marks appear on black labels with white lettering for the AS-STR280 and GT08 models, and on silver, mylar-type labels for the other models. All products listed LCSM International Development Co., Ltd. as the manufacturer, with an address in Shenzhen, Guangdong.
UL Solutions recommends that these products be removed from service. The company provides testing, inspection and certification services for personal e-mobility devices including e-scooters and e-bikes to help manufacturers demonstrate their products meet safety requirements.

The notice was assigned reference number 25PN-0323. Images of the electric scooter models are available on the company's website.
