ATI names CEO Kimberly Fields as board chair
ATI Inc. (NYSE: ATI) announced that Kimberly A. Fields became board chair following the company's 2026 annual meeting, adding the role to her existing positions as chief executive officer and president.
Fields' appointment, which was announced in November 2025, coincides with Robert S. Wetherbee's retirement from the ATI board of directors. Wetherbee had served as board chair since 2021.
The company also named Leroy M. Ball as lead independent director, succeeding J. Brett Harvey, who retired from the ATI board at the conclusion of the 2026 annual meeting. Ball will oversee board operations and serve as a liaison between independent board members and management.
"Returning to the combined roles of CEO and Chair promotes unified leadership and direction for the Company, allowing a clear, sharp focus on the efficient implementation of ATI's strategies to increase shareholder value," Wetherbee said in the announcement.
Fields has served as chief executive officer since July 1, 2024, and has held senior leadership roles at the company since 2019, including president and chief operating officer. She joined the company's board in February 2024.
"I'm honored to assume the role of Board Chair and grateful for the Board's confidence," Fields said. "ATI is well positioned for continued growth as we expand our leadership in aerospace and defense and specialty energy."
ATI produces materials and solutions for aerospace, defense and specialty energy markets. The company is based in Dallas.
