May 14, 2026 5:18 PM

Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) appointed Matthew Thauberger as chief revenue officer, the company announced. Thauberger will oversee global revenue operations across direct, channel, hyperscale and strategic sales for AI and infrastructure products.

Thauberger previously served as senior vice president of strategy and business development at Supermicro since April 2020. In that role, he led product launches and expanded the company's Fortune 500 customer pipeline. Before joining Supermicro, he held executive positions at Burlywood Inc., Inspur Systems and AMAX.

"Matthew brings decades of leadership experience and a deep understanding of the business to this new role," said Charles Liang, founder, president and CEO of Supermicro.

The appointment coincides with the retirement of Don Clegg from his role as senior vice president of worldwide sales. Clegg oversaw global customer relationship expansion and sales strategy alignment during his tenure with the company.

Supermicro provides AI, enterprise, storage and 5G/Edge solutions with data center building block solutions. The San Jose, California-based company designs and manufactures products in the United States, Taiwan and the Netherlands.
