Ally Financial elects Tracey Weber to board of directors
Ally Financial Inc. (NYSE: ALLY) announced that Tracey Weber has been elected to its board of directors at the company's annual shareholder meeting. The election expands the board to 12 members.
Weber serves as senior vice president and general manager of Expedia Brand and Portfolio Brands at Expedia Group, Inc., where she leads global strategy and profit-and-loss responsibility for the Expedia brand. She brings more than 20 years of digital and technology leadership experience to the position.
Her previous roles include senior leadership positions at CVS Health Corporation, IBM Corporation and Gilt Groupe, Inc. Earlier in her career, Weber worked as managing director and head of internet and mobile banking for North America at Citibank N.A., where she launched mobile check deposit capability and received recognition as "Mobile Banker of the Year" by Bank Technology.
Weber holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
"Tracey is a digital pioneer who has built her career at the intersection of technology and customer experience," said Kim Fennebresque, Ally director and chair of the board's Compensation, Nominating, and Governance Committee.
All other director nominees standing for re-election were also approved by shareholders at the annual meeting.
Ally Financial CEO Michael Rhodes noted that the company has added seven new directors since 2022. The Detroit-based company operates the nation's largest all-digital bank and an auto financing business.
