May 14, 2026 9:02 AM

BetterHelp announced its partnership with the Institute of Patient Safety and Quality of Virtual Care, a Patient Safety Organization component of Teladoc Health (NYSE: TDOC), BetterHelp's parent company.

The Institute of Patient Safety and Quality of Virtual Care, founded in 2019, is the first Patient Safety Organization dedicated to clinical quality and continuous improvement in virtual care. Federally recognized Patient Safety Organizations provide healthcare organizations with a structured environment to identify risks, analyze safety events, and share insights while offering certain legal protections to encourage continuous improvement.

Through this partnership, BetterHelp will enhance its ability to strengthen patient safety and care quality by identifying trends and process gaps, enable insights-driven learning to improve care delivery, and build a foundation for growth across the healthcare ecosystem. The company will review systematic patterns and safety evaluations in its clinical data to identify opportunities to enhance care quality and improve outcomes.

"This partnership builds on our ongoing investments in quality that help us advance outcomes, improve matching, and expand access through insurance," said Dr. Russell DuBois, Vice President of Clinical Quality, Operations and Innovation at BetterHelp. "With a network of more than 30,000 therapists on our platform, supporting millions of people around the world, and strong outcomes data, BetterHelp is in a unique position to contribute meaningful learnings at scale."

BetterHelp operates what it describes as the world's largest online therapy platform, with a network of 30,000 licensed therapists globally. The company was founded in 2013 and provides online mental health services.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
