Phunware Inc. (NASDAQ: PHUN) appointed Dmitry Kroshka as chief executive officer to lead the company's 2.0 strategy and product rollout across hospitality and healthcare sectors.

Kroshka, who served as a senior advisor to Phunware since October 2025, will focus on converting the company's mobile and location-aware capabilities into a unified, AI-enabled platform for complex physical environments. Jeremy Krol, who served as interim CEO, will return to his chief operating officer role.

The company also engaged Build Something Product Group, founded by Michael Cerdá, to lead product strategy and Product 2.0 rollout. Cerdá previously held product leadership roles at Disney+, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, and Facebook Newsfeed.

Phunware reported recent milestones including the commercial release of AI Concierge in January, with engagement running approximately 40% above internal forecasts. The company maintains customer retention rates above 95% across core verticals.

"Phunware is entering a defining chapter," said Kroshka. "The Company has a strong installed base across marquee hospitality and healthcare properties, a more disciplined product portfolio, emerging AI Concierge momentum, and a strong cash position with no debt."

The Austin-based company specializes in mobile app solutions for hospitality and healthcare customers. The leadership changes align with the company's focus on connecting mobile engagement, indoor location, behavioral data, and AI-driven personalization in real time.

Management plans to host an investor webinar in conjunction with upcoming product announcements. The company will display its hospitality offering at HITEC North America 2026, described as the world's largest hospitality technology conference.
