Ridgeline Minerals starts drilling at Chinchilla sulfide discovery

May 14, 2026 8:09 AM

Ridgeline Minerals Corp. (TSXV: RDG) announced it has initiated a partner-funded drill program at the Chinchilla Sulfide Carbonate Replacement discovery at its Selena project in Nevada.

The 2026 drilling program will begin with three deep holes targeting the Chinchilla Sulfide discovery. Hole SE26-055 represents a 250-meter step-out northeast of the 2025 discovery hole SE25-053, which intersected multiple massive sulfide lenses ranging from 1.1 to 17.4 meters thick.

Previous results from SE25-053 included 1.1 meters grading 27.0% zinc, 60.1 grams per tonne silver, 0.7% lead, 1.5 grams per tonne gold, 0.4% copper and 0.03% antimony starting at 943 meters downhole. Additional intercepts included 17.4 meters grading 6.0% zinc and 35.6 grams per tonne silver.

Hole SE26-056 will test between SE25-053 and a 2022 hole that intercepted 1.5 meters grading 97.4 grams per tonne silver and 4.9% zinc. The third hole, SE26-057, will test a target adjacent to the Butte Valley copper-gold-silver-zinc porphyry system.

The company plans to conduct borehole electromagnetic surveys in early to mid-June to assist in modeling conductive sulfide zones. These results are expected to guide additional drilling.

The Selena project operates under a Phase I exploration agreement with South32 Limited totaling up to $10 million over five years. South32 has spent approximately $5.6 million through year two and approved a year-three budget of $4.4 million.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
