Corbus Pharmaceuticals names Brent Pfeiffenberger to board of directors
Corbus Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: CRBP) appointed Brent Pfeiffenberger to its board of directors, the clinical-stage company announced.
Pfeiffenberger currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Century Therapeutics (NASDAQ: IPSC) and chairs its board. He previously worked as chief operating officer at Neogene Therapeutics, where he helped transform the company from preclinical to clinical-stage operations before its acquisition by AstraZeneca in 2023.
Before joining Neogene, Pfeiffenberger spent nearly two decades at Bristol Myers Squibb in various leadership roles, most recently as senior vice president and head of U.S. oncology, overseeing operations for the multi-billion-dollar franchise. He holds a PharmD from Duquesne University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
The appointment comes as Corbus prepares to present updated clinical data from its Phase 1/2 study of CRB-701, a Nectin-4 antibody drug conjugate, at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting scheduled for May 29-June 2 in Chicago. The company expects to initiate a registrational study for CRB-701 in second-line head and neck squamous cell carcinoma this summer.
Corbus also operates a Phase 1b dose-ranging study for CRB-913, an oral CB1 inverse agonist for obesity treatment, which is scheduled to complete in summer 2026 with 240 participants.
The company, headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, focuses on developing therapies in oncology and obesity. Information is based on a company press release.
